I decided to attend Auburn Adventist Academy four years ago, because I felt GOD wanted me here, and I am so glad I did!
My experience at Auburn has brought me closer to GOD... more than I could ever imagine. I am so grateful to SEEKToday for helping me on this journey. Of course, I appreciate the financial support these past few years, but I also really appreciate the SEEKToday board members and Mrs. Kiger for challenging us to check in and keep up on our grades.
To anyone who wants to come to Auburn, pray about it! GOD will always find a way to get you where HE wants you to be and I hope and pray that many more can have the same experience with GOD and friends I have had while attending Auburn Adventist Academy! God Bless.
Being able to attend Auburn has been such a life changing experience. I’ve grown
a lot over the years and experienced things I don’t think I would have if I went to a different school. SEEK is one of the reasons why I am able to finish my senior year here at Auburn and graduate with my classmates who have become family to me.
Not only has SEEK made it possible for me to attend Auburn, but it has also taught me what it is to be a hard worker and a responsible student. These things I am going to carry with me after high school.
The SEEK sponsors are constantly checking in with the students and you can really tell that they care about each one. I am very thankful for the SEEK program and that I have the opportunity to be part of it.
Interacting with our SEEKToday Scholars is a highlight of my week. The Scholars check in weekly to speak to how they are upholding the SEEKToday Standards of Grades, Work, Citizenship, Attendance and Community Service. These check-ins are important - scholars are held accountable, they learn to formulate plans to reach success after they have hit a bump in the road, they learn to meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
All of this is important for their future and what SEEKToday is about in developing strong citizens. But the most important part of this check in is to communicate with them on a personal level. To let them know they matter to us as Board Members, but more importantly they matter to God.
This I want them to feel in all of our interactions and know that He will always be by their side, even when they leave Auburn Adventisit Academy. It is an honor to work with our scholars. I hope you will be touched to give to the mission of SEEKToday to help support our scholars to success. We invest in them for God's purpose to be lived out through them.
